M/Y Papa Joe, a 145-foot (44-meter) vessel, represents the largest model within the Benetti Class category of semi-custom yachts. The launch ceremony was attended by local dignitaries from Viareggio, the owner’s representatives and Benetti leadership, including Chief Commercial Officer Sebastiano Fanizza and General Manager Massimo Casoni. Following official speeches and the captain’s address, M/Y Papa Joe gracefully entered the water amidst a celebratory shower of confetti.
As a semi-custom build, M/Y Papa Joe retains the elegant styling that defines the Diamond 44M series. Her luxurious interior boasts five spacious staterooms, including a main-deck master suite with a dedicated office area. Crew quarters provide comfortable accommodations for a captain and seven crew members, with the captain’s cabin strategically positioned near the wheelhouse for optimal navigation. Reflecting the emphasis on guest privacy, separate crew and guest areas are implemented throughout the yacht, particularly evident on the main deck. Additionally, a cleverly designed service passageway doubles as an AV/electronics equipment rack room.
The 471 gross-ton M/Y Papa Joe exudes a sophisticated home-away-from-home ambiance, tailored to the owner’s vision. Rich details abound, with Santos rosewood veneer complementing warm oak paneling throughout. Bold pops of color, like turquoise accents in the master suite and a burgundy-plum statement in the saloon add a touch of personality to each space. The design narrative continues on the upper deck, where a stunning Levanto red marble table takes center stage.
M/Y Papa Joe prioritizes guest comfort and enjoyment. The versatile beach club features a sliding smoked-glass door, transforming the space into an open or enclosed environment as desired. A comfortable settee and inviting bar create a perfect setting for relaxation and social gatherings. The skylounge offers dual functionality, boasting a movie screen for entertainment alongside a plush settee ideal for taking in the breathtaking aft views.
Equipped with an SCR system, M/Y Papa Joe promises an impressive range of 2,300 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.
