New 50m Feadship Yacht Enters the Water
Feadship has added another yacht to its fleet with the launch of the 49.5-metre Project 717 in the Netherlands.

She has been in build for several years, with work starting in 2022. She was first seen outside the shipyard in 2024 and later sold in 2025 under the name Project Fun.
With a clean, modern profile and smooth flowing lines, Project 717 reflects the combined work of Feadship and De Voogt Naval Architects, while her interior spaces were designed by Marty Lowe.
The main deck is one of her strongest features. Its sides can fold down, opening the area to the sea and creating a wide open deck. At the back, there is a Jacuzzi with glass panels, surrounded by seating and large windows that connect the space to the interior lounge.

Inside, she can host up to 10 guests in five cabins. The owner’s suite is full-width and includes large windows, a private study and a dressing area.
There is plenty of outdoor space across Project 717. The sun deck includes a dining area, bar, barbecue and lounging areas, while the front deck offers sunbeds and seating for quieter moments.
A large garage is built into the hull and is used to store her tenders and water toys.
She is powered by an electric-based system developed by Feadship, using thrusters instead of traditional propellers.
This helps reduce drag, improve efficiency and make Project 717 smoother and quieter when moving.

She will now complete sea trials in the North Sea before being delivered in the spring.
