Dutch shipyard Feadship has launched Project 714, an 80-meter hybrid superyacht, from its Aalsmeer facility in the Netherlands. The vessel is now entering its final outfitting phase before undergoing sea trials ahead of its anticipated delivery later this year.

Crafted from steel and aluminum, Project 714 has a volume of approximately 2,500 GT. While details about the yacht have remained largely undisclosed since construction began in early 2021, it has been confirmed that British design studio RWD is behind the exterior styling, with Feadship De Voogt responsible for naval architecture.

Recently released images showcase Feadship’s signature design elements, including a sleek clipper bow, expansive deck spaces, and a striking blue-and-white color palette—echoing the aesthetic of the 75.8-meter One, another recent Feadship launch.

Project 714 also incorporates advanced hybrid propulsion technology, mirroring the system used in the 84.2-meter Obsidian. With 4.5 times the electrical storage capacity of Feadship’s first hybrid yacht, Savannah, this system enhances efficiency and sustainability. The yacht’s propulsion relies on two contra-rotating thrusters, eliminating the need for traditional drive shafts and rudders. This innovative approach reduces drag and improves overall performance, reinforcing Feadship’s position at the forefront of eco-conscious yacht engineering.
